ASQ/HEC/OMT Conference on Coordination within and among Organizations
Paris, 13-14 June
We are pleased to report that the response to our call for abstracts for this conference has been very strong. We received a total of 105 abstracts, from which we have selected 34 that will enter the conference for mentoring by members of the ASQ editorial board and OMT. The conference also features presentations on the publication process and crafting papers by ASQ editors and Linda Johansen. It is the first conference co-sponsored by OMT after the division set conference co-sponsorships as an objective in its 2010 5-year review. Although the conference has not yet run, we already regard the collaboration between the OMT division, ASQ, and HEC as very fruitful in generating interest, and we are especially grateful for HEC for the use of its facilities and support of hotel expenses for the participants.
We would also like to thank the ASQ editorial board members and OMT division executive members who helped us review abstracts and select papers for the conference: Phil Anderson, Beth Bechky, Christine Beckman, Joe Broschak, Frank Flynn, Martin Gargiulo, Royston Greenwood, Martine Haas, Dev Jennings, Michael Jensen, Chris Marquis, Jim Wade, John Wagner, Batia Wiesenfeld, Amy Edmondson, Diane Burton, Michael Lounsbury, Eva Boxenbaum, Matt Kraatz, and Nelson Phillips. They were essential for putting together the program, and we owe them our thanks.
