Michael Lounsbury, University of Alberta, tells us about the new PDWs and reminds us about PDW pre-registration.
We have many exciting PDWs this year. Thank you to the members that created these innovative sessions. OMT will sponsor or co-sponsor over 50 sessions this year. We have the annual OMT Junior Faculty Consortium (for junior faculty at the early stages of their career), the OMT/MOC Doctoral Consortium (for advanced doctoral students at the dissertation writing stages), the OMT Dissertation Proposal Workshop (for mid-career doctoral students beginning to work on their dissertation proposal), the OMT Teaching Roundtables (for our consortium attendees and a small group of additional participants that pre-register), as well as the OMT International paper development workshop for junior faculty to receive feedback from senior faculty on advancing a paper to publication. We also have a number of sessions targeted at quantitative and qualitative methods (e.g., networks, ethnography, content analysis, QCA), as well as various topics of interest (e.g., the interface of OMT and entrepreneurship, categorization processes, sustainability, strategy as practice). Please check the program for full details on all sessions (including the many co-sponsored PDWs).
Many of these sessions require pre-registration so please be sure to plan ahead and check the program for details. You may need to pre-register on the academy site (https://secure.aomonline.org/PDWReg ) or with the session organizers.
I look forward to seeing you in San Antonio – and don’t forget Meet OMT on Friday, August, 12th, from 6-8 pm at the San Antonio Convention Center (Room: Mission 103 A & B)!
